Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon is an Hollywood Actress and film producer who is popularly known as Reese Witherspoon. Witherspoon was born on March 22, 1976 to Mary Elizabeth, a professor of nursing at Vanderbilt University and John Draper Witherspoon, Sr., an otolaryngologist in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1991, Reese Witherspoon acted in her first movie "The Man in the Moon" as the female lead. All these years she acted in many movies out of which some failed and some received huge success. Witherspoon is actively involved in children's and women's advocacy organizations and owns a production company called Type A Films.

In 1999 Witherspoon married Ryan Phillippe, her co-star in Cruel Intentions co-star. They have been together until late 2006 and divorced in October 2007. The couple have two children, Ava and Deacon. After that Witherspoon married Jim Toth, a talent agent in 2011.
